Unlink Indica, Sativa typically has low chlorophyll density. Sativa consumption yields a stronger effect due to its greater THC to Cannabidiol (CBD) ratio. Because of this, Sativa is often used to alleviate depression. The plant itself grows taller and thinner, often reaching heights of over 15 feet. It has serrated leaves and narrow flower clusters that can be very resinous.
Sativas mainly affect your mental state and therefore should be used primarily during daytime. They offer greater stimulation, invigoration, enhanced creativity. Psychological illnesses and diseases can be treated more effectively with Sativa than other varieties.
Benefits of Sativa include:

  • Lower incidence of depression.
  • Relief from headaches and migraines.
  • Relief from headaches and migraines.
  • More energy.
  • Pain reduction.
  • Increased awareness and imagination.
  • Reduced dizziness.
  • Greater appetite.

Indica, on the other hand, has a lower THC to CBD ration and acts as a relaxer which can be taken later in the day or before bed. Therefore, Indica is most commonly used to lower anxiety, reduce pain and tremors, and increase appetite. Contrary to Sativa, Indica plants are normally short and stocky, reaching a height of six feet at most. Indica leaves are deeply serrated leaves have denser flower cluster.

Also unlike Sativa, Indica effects are predominantly physical, which may lead to some mental benefits, including greater relaxation and pain reduction. These effects can be characterized as relaxing, sedating and pain reducing.

Benefits of Indica include:

  • Relief from headaches and migraines.
  • Pain reduction.
  • Greater appetite.
  • Muscle relaxation.
  • Spasm and seizure reduction.
  • Inflammatory reduction.
  • Sleep aid.
  • Lower stress.
  • Less dizziness.
  • Lowers pressure inside the eye.

Interestingly, most Cannabis plants today have been cross-bred between Sativa and Indica, providing benefits from both strains while reducing unwanted side effects. As with any medication, please ask us or a professional to help choose the right medication for your condition.
